ASU@Tempe

Still under development.

LAB @ ASU is being designed. When finisihed will have access to satellite imagery, hyperspectral imagers, uncrewed aerial vehicles, and compute to process and store data.

El Paso

Location and Study Sites

Our group is located in the Texas A&M AgriLife Center at El Paso. The center facilities include eleven buildings with over 65,000 sqft of office, meeting and laboratory space, a 200 seat auditorium, contemporary computer and analytical equipment, and network video facilities. The Center has two locations in El Paso and over 230 acres of farmland. The Center is strategically located in El Paso's city on the southwest corner of Texas and works closely with partners in Mexico and New Mexico.

Data Collection

The Water System group maintains ET tower and hydrologic cycle monitoring network in El Paso, Texas, measuring CO2, water vapor, or heat fluxes using the eddy covariance technique at two sites (site 2 and site 3), and weather data (precipitation, temperature, wind speed, humidity), soil moisture, groundwater level, water quality and other data at other sites.

The Water Systems group at the El Paso center also surveys three sites monthly using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) mounted hyperspectral, multispectral, and thermal imagers.
